July 19, 2011 (Washington, DC)  Akbar Muhammad, the International Representative of Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, held a press conference in front of the Embassy of Guyana, announcing a $15 million dollar lawsuit against the government of Guyana.  Mr. Muhammad alleges he was falsely detained in Guyana on May 19, 2011, for what he describes as fabricated charges of drug trafficking and terrorism.  He was later released without being formally charged.  Muhammad maintains his innocence, claiming the allegations were fabricated to tarnish his image, character and reputation.
